The Incredible Hulk Was Supposed to be Gray

When you hear “The Incredible Hulk”, instantly, the first image that probably pops into your mind is a giant green mutant. But had print technology been a bit better back in the 1960s, Hulk would’ve ended up as a gargantuan gray guy.

Back when Marvel Comics debuted the character in issue #1 of the original 1962 comic book, the Hulk appeared as gray as London skies in the winter. So did his color change to green mean Hulk was part chameleon? Hardly. In fact, that Hulk is green at all happened as a matter of practicality. How do we mean?

Back in the 60s, print technology was such that the color grey appeared inconsistent. Forced to choose a more consistent color, they went with green – and the choice has stuck for all these years.

Naturally, the big green goliath is the centerpiece of our Incredible Hulk slots game, which of course has an appropriately green theme and color scheme.

Wolverine Fought Hulk and Was Nearly a Badger

Curious to learn more about Marvel superheroes? Try this fun fact on for size: The Hulk character paved the way for the development of Wolverine! The future X-Men member debuted in 1974, when Hulk writers needed someone to do battle with the Hulk in issue #181. As plans called for the introduction of Canadian special agent sent by the country’s government to quell the threat of the Hulk, writers were trying to think up a character who would be popular in Canuck land. The final two options on their shortlist were a wolverine and a badger.

We all know how that worked out and that’s probably a good thing too! It’s hard to imagine Badger slots garnering as much popularity and conjuring up as much excitement among casino players.

Wolverine slots, on the other hand, offer stacked wilds, Admantium free games, and a Berseker rage bonus round that are guaranteed to satisfy. Not to badger you or anything, but this Marvel superhero game is probably worth trying out.

Gladiator’s Best Actor Oscar Almost Went to a Different Leading Man

Russell Crowe VS Mel Gibson

Did you know that Russell Crowe was not the first Australian leading man to be considered for the lead role of Maximus in Gladiator? The Best Picture-winning blockbuster (2000) could’ve had an entirely different look and feel if the great Roman general had instead been played by Mel Gibson. Also considered for the role was Latin loverboy Antonio Banderas.

In retrospect, it’s interesting to wonder whether Gibson or Banderas would’ve laid their bodies on the line like Crowe did. Not sure what this means? Well, you know all those wounds Crowe sported in the famous opening battle scene? They were real – caused by an incident where his horse backed up into tree branches. Beyond that, Crowe also injured tendons in both his biceps (must’ve been all that sword swinging) and broke multiple bones in his body.

Perhaps that sort of immersion and dedication to playing the role of Maximus is why Crowe cites Gladiator as his favorite movie to have made. Surely, winning a Best Actor Oscar couldn’t have hurt either.

The film was a tremendous box office success, recouping its production budget of over $100 million in less than two weeks! That sort of cash may seem like pie in the sky, but if you step up to play our Gladiator Jackpot slots, you may be fortunate enough to win a 7-figure payout of your own.

Spiderman Almost Did the Moonwalk

Spiderman is doing Michael Jackson’s moonwalk

If you thought Tobey Maguire has done some cool stunts as the man behind the Spiderman mask, just think how incredible it would’ve been to see the King of Pop moonwalking in the Spidey outfit!

That’s right! None other than Michael Jackson had expressed interest in portraying Spiderman on the big screen. He had a number of advanced discussions about this with the Spiderman comic creator Stan Lee, but sadly nothing materialized as a result. So deep was Jackson’s desire to assume the role that he issued a buyout offer for Marvel Comics itself back in the 1990s. Alas, we’ll never know what could’ve been.

That said, our Spiderman slots game is a real “thriller”, offering you the chance to weave a web of winnings! It’s certainly worth giving it a try next time you want to “heal the world” from the comfort of your living room.

Spamalot is a World Record Holder, Sort of…

While not necessarily of the superhero genre, Monty Python’s Spamalot sure is super entertaining, super brash, super funny, and super beloved by legions of fans. Monty Python’s Spamalot is a lot of things, but did you know that it also carries the distinction of holding a World Record? Cast members of the musical, accompanied by Pythons Terry Jones and Terry Gilliam – as well as over 5,500 other people – set a world record for “largest coconut orchestra” back in 2007 when they gathered in London’s Trafalgar Square to “perform” Always Look On The Bright Side of Life.

Furthermore as regards the Spamalot musical, it took in over $175 million during its first run on Broadway.  While that’s not a World Record, it probably helped each of the Pythons (who all received a cut of the proceeds) look on the bright side of their own lives.

Winning that type of money may represent the Holy Grail to some, so you ought to take a crack at it when playing Spamalot slots here at Titanbet Casino. If not a 9-figure sum, you could definitely still bank a bundle – and that’s super!
